Prosim 737-700 Wedgetail

Post by dion73 » 14 Feb 2016, 12:40

Hi,

Iain (Willow) requested some RAAF liveries including the wedgetail with the ironing board on top it. Steve was so kind to shorten the 738 model to fit a 737-700 and he put the ironing board on top of it. He topped it of with the mohawk kind of hairdo made of antennas and other useful stuff this bird apparently needs to attract the females. I put the colors in and now it is ready to share with you guys. For some it will not be perfect yet, but to us it is more than good enough.
Maybe there will be updates, maybe not. Hopefully Prosim will be supportive to this project and sell a 737-700 flightmodel as well at some point in time. I sure hope so anyway ;)

The installation requires a copy of the Prosim 737-800 installation.
There is an installation manual in the Prosim RAAF Wedgetail.rar download.
Please read and apply the proposed instructions in the installation manual carefully.
If it doesn't work than please first go for a walk to snap out of your tunnelvision and retry and redo the installation as per the instructions, before posting on the forum.

Some info on the wedgetail:

Don't forget to thank Steve, Lapi and Iain :)
& Enjoy this model

kind regards,
Dion

Greetings

I want to thank Dion and Steve for their diligence and patience in getting the E-7A Wedgetail up and flying - and also Lapi once the 700 flight model is completed. Although it may have been my brainchild, these guys did the work and certainly deserve the credit.

For those interested, the aircraft is used by the Royal Australian Airforce (RAAF) and belongs to Number 2 Squadron RAAF which is based at RAAF Williamtown and RAAF Tindal.

The name Wedgetail is coined from the Australian wedgetail eagle (Aquila audax) which is Australia's largest bird of prey. The wedgetail eagle (often called a wedgie) has exceptional eyesight, has the ability to spend lengthy times aloft riding thermals, and has the ability to attack and kill its prey swiftly.

Therefore, 'Wedgetail' is an apt name for an airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) platform that can gather information from a wide variety of sources, analyse it and distribute it to other air and surface assets.

Cheers, WilloW

jujst to clarify something to others

if you rename the air file as you say in the installation manual ir says:

Prosim737_700_Wedgetail. air

and inside the aircraft.cfg it is written differently, so the solution is to write it in the same way in both places

hope it helps

PD great model!!!!!

a westjet 737-700 would be apreciated

Waiting for for the pain-kit Steve :)

So it seems Turkey also flies these. Matybe 'll do the South Korean one as well some other time.
