Re: How is Lapi doing?

Happy New Year Lapi, I was just thinking of you yesterday, as I again flew through some virtual bad weather, in your Prosim Qantas skinned aircraft. I jumped outside and admired your detailed PBR textures, animations, the wing warping from different angles and the nice flying characteristics. Thanks...

Re: what potentiometer value (10k Ohms ?) for dimming MIP-screens ?

You need to supply more information for some one to help you. Basically, In this case, What card are you using to interface hardware and software? For instance: A 10K linier (not log) pot is normal for OC cards but remember, you then need to tell the card via SIOC code what bandwidth you want it to ...

Re: Pack high and normal gates

it will be quite handy. Years ago, I replaced my FWD OHD Left Pack Recirculation single throw switch, with a double pole/single throw switch. The original circuit switches a Pokeys input as usual the other circuit carries 12v DC to a line (taken from my BATT BUS which is switched in the same way) to...

Re: Two monitors but different sizes

Using different size monitors works fine using P3D 4.5 Viewgroups. I'm presently using a GTX1070 and I am using four of the outputs, originally driving different sized screens (50, 40, 40 and 24), but have now settled for three 50 inch and one 24 inch for the eye brows. I settled for 1650x768 as the...

Re: Pack high and normal gates

I presume you can use the new Gates to operate actual hardware fans or trigger add-in Audio files.
That's what most of the existing Gates are used for.

Re: Ambient lighting in the flightdeck - any ideas?

I found a shot on my phone that I took earlier for another reason. Hopefully, you can see the aluminium C channel screwed on the rear and top of the side windows. The inside width of the channel is the same as the stick on LED strip (cut to length) The 12 volt power comes in at the bottom rear. The ...

Re: Ambient lighting in the flightdeck - any ideas?

For years, I have had two long strips of 12 volt LED lighting, running in an aluminium 'C' channel (about 12mm wide) from the left lower rear window, over the top and along to the front windscreen pillar. ie. The LED strip points downward in the channel. |*| The same on the co-pilot's side. The ligh...

This type of dedicated work is terrific Keith. Thanks for posting. On a side bar if you are interested: Having worked in the Audio Visual Archiving industry, I occasionally point out to people, that we can watch high quality "I Love Lucy" shows on our high definition TVs because we can go back to th...
